What is S690QL?
S690QL is a high-strength structural steel to EN 10025-6, with a minimum yield strength of 690 MPa, produced by quenching and tempering (Q+T). The "QL" denotes guaranteed impact toughness at −40°C. It offers far higher strength than conventional structural steels, allowing the same load capacity with thinner sections.
Where is S690QL used?
